Keyboard shortcuts have been defined to access the main links of the Web site menu. The options you can access by means of key combinations for quick access are:
The use of access keys is conditional on the navigator:
Internet Explorer 4.0: ALT + Quick access key + ENTER key
Internet Explorer 5 or higher: ALT + Quick access keu + ENTER key
Netscape: ALT + Quick access key + ENTER key
Mozilla Firefox up to 1.5: ALT + Quick access key + ENTER key
Mozilla Firefox 2.0: ALT + SHIFT KEY + Quick access key (advanced configuration in navigator with two keys)
Opera: Shift key + Esc to activate quick access keys
MacOS: CONTROL + Quick access key.
Further to easing the keyboard shortcuts, other functionalities have been implemented to ease access to all the contents of the Web, such as:
Use of (x)html code that allows for the creation of standard documents and a clean structure. This code has been validated with the validator provided by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).
Content has been separated from presentation by the use of style sheets. In this way, navigation is ensured to those users who disable the download of style sheets.
Use of diverse visual styles that facilitate an easier reading of the text on display. It is possible to modify the font size with the navigator tools in order to adapt it to persons with visual difficulties.
An equivalent text has been used in all images by means of the "alt" element.
No frames have been used. Screen flashes have been also avoided, as well as motion images and audio output.
No tables have been used to lay out information. They have been only used when preparing data tables.
We have in mind the creation of simple and user-friendly pages. Usability elements such as menu bars, breadcrumbs and web site map have been included to enhance the easiness of use.
Diverse downloadable files have been created with universal formats as RTF documents, PDF Accessible. Adobe Acrobat Reader free software is required to visualize documents with PDF format.
